The Tecate Score Baja 1000 is the final round of the 2009 Score International Off-Road Championship, as well as being the American continent's most famous off-road competition. This year again, more than 300 entries have been received for this annual dash across Mexico's Baja California peninsula. In addition to being an official partner, BFGoodrich will be targeting its 23rd win on the event.

Portugal's Filipe Campos won the 23rd Baja Portalegre ahead of compatriots Miguel Barbosa and Ricardo Dos Santos. The result saw Boris Gadasin (Nissan/BFGoodrich) clinch the title in the 2009 FIA International Cup for Cross-Country Bajas.

Stéphane Peterhansel and Leonid Novitsky steered their BMW X3 CC equipped with BFGoodrich All Terrain+ tyres to a resounding one-two finish on the 2009 Shamrock Rallye du Maroc. Their result is particularly encouraging ahead of next year's Dakar.

Robby Gordon's second win of the season has seen him extend his lead at the top of the provisional points table ahead of November's classic, the Baja 1000. Gordon was joined on the podium by Armin Schwarz and Martin Kristensen who came third overall to win their class with the Class 1 Buggy/BFGoodrich.

The penultimate round of the 2009 International Cup for Cross-Country Bajas was won by Tonnie Van Deijne from the Netherlands at the wheel of his BFGoodrich-equipped Mitsubishi Pajero MP13. Russian driver Boris Gadasin came second on the stages to theoretically sew up the title, but was disqualified from the results for a technical infringement.

Victory on this weekend's Baja Aragon went to Spain's Nani Roma and his new co-driver Michel Périn. The pair's BMW X3 CC/BFGoodrich headed home a one-two-three finish for the X-Raid squad, with Stéphane Peterhansel and Filipe Campos following in second and third places.

Volkswagen/BFGoodrich's new driver/co-driver formations – Carlos Sainz/Luca Cruz and Nasser Al-Attiyah/Timo Gottschalk – were the dominating forces on Brazil's Rallye dos Sertoes, with Sainz taking the top prize ahead of his team-mate.

Frenchman Guerlain Chicherit added a further success to his personal record by winning the Rali Transiberico against stiff opposition with his BMW X3 CC/BFGoodrich. The weekend's result also provided another win for the BFGoodrich All-Terrain.
