Peugeot/BFGoodrich driver Kris Meeke has emerged at the top of the provisional leaderboard after the opening leg of the RAC MSA Rally of Scotland, the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge

The run of Adam Gould, the 2009 BFGoodrich Drivers Team operation's representative on this weekend's RAC MSA Rally of Scotland, came to a premature halt today midway through the opening leg. The English youngster had figured as high as third overall after Thursday evening's two attempts at the Scone Palace super-special.

A special test session yesterday in Scotland gave Adam Gould, the fifth and final driver to represent the BFGoodrich Drivers Team in 2009, his first chance to sample the BFGoodrich-equipped Peugeot 207 S2000 he will drive this weekend on the closing round of this year's Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
