Adam Gould to drive BFGoodrich car in Scotland

British youngster Adam Gould, 22, has been selected to drive the BFGoodrich-liveried Peugeot 207 S2000 on the RAC MSA Rally of Scotland, the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge and the last outing of the year for the 2009 BFGoodrich Drivers Team operation.

The backdrop for the fifth and final port of all call for the BFGoodrich Drivers Team in 2009 will be the RAC MSA Rally of Scotland (November 19-21), a new event which takes competitors to the Scottish forests near Perth and Stirling.

Adam Gould was chosen to drive the BFGoodrich-equipped Peugeot 207 S2000 on this event by a jury made up of British journalists and representatives of the British motor sport governing body, BFGoodrich and Kronos Racing.

The Bristol-based youngster kicked off his rallying career in 2004 before enrolling for the 2006 Fiesta Sporting Trophy. The following season saw him win the Fiesta Sporting Trophy international selection which featured the world's 24 best Fiesta Sporting Trophy competitors.

This year, he drove a Group N Subaru Impreza in the British Rally Championship and helped his team to win the 2009 MSA British Rally Championship Teams' title.

For the RAC MSA Rally of Scotland, Adam Gould will have the same Peugeot/BFGoodrich package that has won the IRC three times running, and will get a chance to see how he compares with the series' top drivers, and notably his compatriot and recently-crowned champion Kris Meeke.
